Instructors:  Our NEW location opened in Matawan, New Jersey (1-minute west of Garden State Parkway Exit 120)on November 1st, 2008. Michael Buttermark-Shihan is the Chief Instructor of both the Staten Island, NY and Matawan, NJ locations. As necessary, the full compliment of TKC's staff will be ready, willing and available to share their knowledge with the students at the Matawan dojo.

Additional Info:  Students of both dojo locations must embrace the idea that TKC is TKC, we are one, regardless of which side of the bridge it is located. TKC students are welcome to attend classes in their curriculum at either, or both, locations without additional fees. TKC's curriculi are identical in both dojo locations. We bring you the very best training opportunity in classical, Japanese karatedo. Our goal is to elevate our students to the highest of standards in karatedo. Likewise, the same honest, up-front business ethics exist: NO registration fees, NO hidden costs, NO "nickle-and-diming", children's karate shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg! Lessons offer the individual an indepth knowledge of our system technically, theoretically and philosophically. Our program offers a knowledge not available in hybrid, or mixed martial art, styles. We teach a system that has been developed and honed by true masters for centuries. We don't attempt to reinvent it for sales purposes nor do we water it down for easy consumption.
